About the Photographer
Tom Kelleys career spans over 40 years, starting as an apprentice in a New York studio that photographed high society families like the Vanderbilts and Morgans. He later moved to California, capturing some of Hollywood’s most iconic stars such as Ingrid Bergman, Gary Cooper, Greta Garbo, and Marilyn Monroe. His most famous image, a nude portrait of Monroe, brought him worldwide fame and became a catalyst for the sexual revolution. Kelley also worked in commercial photography, becoming a leading figure in the industry. His son, Tom Kelley Jr., now manages his archives.
