Each Buffon No.3 Igneus frame is individually painted using the ancient art of hand marbling making every one completely unique. The Gicle reprint is from our large collection of original prints from Buffons Complete Works. Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon was one of the most noted and celebrated naturalists of his time. Each of the original 1816 illustrations was printed and then hand painted in water colour in Spitalfields, London.
